Hello! I’m Allison Margaret Reid, and I’m a writer/producer with a passion for creative storytelling.
A life-long lover of film, television, music, and books, I believe popular culture has the power to change the world through diverse representation. I’m passionately devoted to the development and production of narrative content.
Producing
In my career in development and production, I’ve collaborated with some of the most brilliant storytellers in Hollywood today. I spent a number of years as a development executive, most recently at Ridley Scott’s Scott Free, and have worked at Universal Pictures, Focus Features, and Flynn Picture Company. Creative producing turns dreams into reality!
Writing
For me, writing is a way to bring original characters to life and create dynamics between them that are both real and unexpected. Storytelling is all about transformation, and I’m fascinated by the way that interpersonal relationships change and grow over time. Narrative stories offer a lens through which we can examine the meaning of the human experience.
Consulting
It brings me great joy to share my knowledge and expertise with other people, and to learn from them in return. I have been asked to speak on a number of different topics, including “Book to Film Adaptations,” “The Hollywood Studio System,” and “Producing for Screenwriters.” I love to help artists develop their own creative work in the context of larger industry trends.
